Hi everyone!!! This is an art supplies giveaway for me reaching an amount of followers I said I’d do a giveaway at!

Here are the things you’ll be getting, as you can see from the photo!

• 6” by 10” Sketchbook for both wet and dry media
• A bottle of ink, you pick the color, I’ll order it from a specific site
• A fountain pen that comes with the ink from the same site
• 11 colors of Cotman Winsor & Newton watercolors
• 3 brushes
• A drawing of a subject of your choice to go on the first page! You might want to check my art out if you’re unfamiliar with me to see what types of things I usually do

And that’s that.  I don’t use any of those watercolor tubes anymore, as I’ve replaced them each with higher quality tubes, so I thought: why not give them away?  And I like the fountain pen I’ve been using so much that I think I’d like someone else to try it, too.  I’ve also replaced the three brushes I’ve included here, so I don’t need those, either.  And a drawing for good measure.

Here are the rules! Please follow these:

So for those of you may or may not know the organization PETA is people against animal cruelty.

Well let me tell you a story that I just found out today.

Our dog Boulder is a show dog and he was at a show a few weeks or so ago.  PETA was also there and they were protesting how dog shows are inhumane. 

So what did they fucking do?  They let all/most of the dogs out of their kennels and put rat poison inside the kennels.

Boulder got sick after the show and as they were doing tests and everything they found the rat poison in his system.  PETA killed my dog.

My dog Boulder has cancer now which spread to his kidney and his lungs.  He is not going to make it.  He has lost a lot of weight and needs to be fed by hand because of fucking PETA. 

So I want you guys to spread this like wildfire.  Tell everyone about this.  Because of PETA we are losing a member of our family who is near and dear to us.

[Fuck you PETA. Killing innocent lives of animals! That’s cruelty!]

Oh yes, I have a story of these assholes from when I was a kid. My family was in the bird business, and one of the local aviaries we were all excited about. She had been offered a chance to help with a breeding program to save a HIGHLY endangered species of parrot. There were only 6 pairs IN THE ENTIRETY OF NORTH AMERICA (this was including Canada and Mexico) She was given one pair to see if she could help in figuring out the right conditions for the breeding and preservation of this species. Which had the intention of breeding for release into the wild program. 

In December right before a BAD snowstorm. Members of PETA came to her barns and began to open all the cages. On EXOTIC TROPICAL BIRD.

IN A WASHINGTON STATE WINTER.

And we where right up close to the boarder with Canada, so it got COLD.

They then proceeded (because like the birds were obviously not snapping to take their deserved ‘freedom’) SET FIRE to the barns. 

I remember the call my mom got, going out to the burning biuldings. Setting out cages and finding hurt, sick, and dead birds. 

1300 pairs of exotic parrots and other exotic bird species. Some of which had never known anything BUT hand reared captivity.

We lost over HALF the birds. I remember finding the female of the rare species. I held her under my coat while she CRIED. She was so scared, and hurt, and her feathers had gotten singed enough she couldn’t fly. Her mate, FROZE TO DEATH before we could find him. Terrified and hiding by the fireplace chimney. Just desperately trying to stay warm. 

We lost the female because she grieved herself to death over her mate and from the shock of what PETA did. 

And they spray painted their tags and hate all over the buildings. These animals were raised knowing only love and care and gentle hands and some of them were scarred and shattered for life. We ended up taking into our care one of the worst cases because I was known to have a good hand and a way with the birds. 

He spent the first few weeks hiding in his cage and WEEPING. Making the most sad sounds I’ve ever heard. He hardly ate, he got so weak I was able to just hold him and have him drink from an eyedropper. 

Even after he recovered. He’d lost several toes from frost bite, He was never able to fly again because of damage sustained from the fire and he’d had minor smoke damage to his lungs.

Oh wonderful people who were all for ‘animal rights’ and the fight against ‘animal cruelty’ 

Fuck them. They are only terrorists and hypocrites. 

Same post, but there’s another story. I honestly can’t imagine anyone doing this kind of shit and saying that it was for the good of the animal.

I fucking hate PETA. Supposedly their all about animals rights, and you know, that’s swell. Great. You have your right to your opinion and on some level I can get behind that, I like animals, too. But what kind of sick twisted assholes do these people have to be to think “oh we love animals and think they deserve their own rights and that they shouldn’t be subjected to human enslavement and the kind of treatment people subject them to… let’s KILL THEM to prove our point”. PETA literally stands for “People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals”, but they hardly ever treat animals ethically. EVER. It pisses me the fuck off.

Jesus christ, I know this isn’t directly related to this blog but I just…can’t.

I can’t believe anyone could do that to birds, and the story about Boulder kills me because my dog is literally the only consistent (I don’t want to say person but I can’t say thing) in my life and I empathize with that loss. Besides PETA’s blatant animal cruelty, they euthanize most of the animals in their shelters every year. Also their advertisements are usually horrible, and the ones I know of involve (tw for link because it contains disturbing images including violence) misogyny, racism, and fat shaming [which is usually closely tied into ableism, because you simply can’t assume someone’s weight is a result of ‘they ate a lot of cheese burgers!!11!!!!1’] and full on ableism itself. (Tw for the link because it contains disturbing images including violence)

Again though, I simply can’t believe what they did to those poor birds and that dog. I literally fucking hate PETA, as do the rest of the bloggers above me, but anyway the best way to start protesting animal cruelty is to NOT BE VICIOUSLY CRUEL TO ANIMALS.

How many signatures would a petition to have Peta classified as terrorists need?

More like “How many signatures would a petition to have PETA removed from this planet need?”

I don’t know how many people know the difference between animal rights and animal welfare. Super simplified, animal rights means no animals in captivity or domesticated animals. Animal welfare is the humane treatment of animals. Google it to learn more in depth about it.

Good job pet store. That is what’s up.

I worked in a pet store for 5 years, and every Easter our rabbit sales went up exponentially. I can tell you from experience that almost half of the rabbits we sold were brought back in as early as two weeks after they were adopted. Some people let them loose, and some people send them to a shelter. People need to understand this very statement, and truly think about it. A rabbit is a big commitment, and should not be a fad or seen as a compulsory pet. 

I cannot like this anymore than once, but I sure as hell hope people will spread this message, because it’s important as hell. I used to hand out care sheet BOOKLETS to everyone looking to adopt, and it prevented many of them from adopting in the end.
